These melters are incredibly easy to set up and use. We have been using them extensively for years in our candle making classes and they are fast and reliable. Melts up to 8 pounds of wax in about a half hour. Simple and easy to use and has a non-stick surface so it cleans up easily in between uses. Uses a standard outlet. Some assembly required. We do not recommend using this melter for soap. There is no spout on this melter.
