1/18/19 - 1:00 to 3:00 pm - Intermediate Level - Completion of a prior CP/HP soap class is required for registration.
Using natural colors in your cold and hot process soaps can be a challenge because the results in the finished soap are very different from the original natural color you are using. In this class we will explore the different types of natural colorants, what plant materials produce colors, what type of soaps produce the best color results, how much to use and what you can expect once your soaps have cured. See how easy it is to make beautiful bold designs using natural colorants like clays, annatto seeds, turmeric etc.
Each student will then get to make their own batch of soap using natural colorants. We are also including a sample pack of natural colorants for each class participant to take home and create more soap.
This workshop is for intermediate level soapmakers ages 18+. You must have previous soap making experience or have taken one of our CP or HP soap classes in order to register.
Bring your soap loaf mold and divider set and come join the natural colorant exploration fun!
